USE CASES — TREATMENT & WELLNESS
Treatment yurts for therapy, wellness & healing spaces
A calm, grounded, intentional space for one-to-one work — therapy, bodywork, breathwork, sound healing, counselling. Quiet acoustics, warm light, and a setting your clients will remember.
The space is part of the work
Practitioners we’ve built yurts for talk about the way the space itself changes the session. Clients arrive and immediately drop a gear. The circular timber frame, the soft canvas, the wood stove — it all signals that this is somewhere different. Somewhere it’s safe to slow down.
We work with holistic practitioners across Ireland. Some run their practice from a garden yurt at home; others offer a destination retreat experience.
For one-to-one work, our 4m and 5m yurts are usually the right fit. Big enough for a treatment table, two chairs, a small altar, instruments and storage — small enough to feel intimate, contained, safe.
Acoustically the yurt is exceptional for treatment work. The circular shape and wool walls absorb hard reflections — voices feel close and warm, breathwork sounds full, gongs and bowls have beautiful sustain.
What makes a yurt the right room for treatment
Why so many therapists and wellness practitioners end up working out of a yurt.
Grounded, contained feel
The circular shape with no corners holds a session in a way a rectangular room doesn't. Clients consistently report feeling more present and more held in a yurt.
Warm acoustics for voice & sound
Voices feel intimate. Singing bowls, gongs and breath work sound rich and full. Wool insulation absorbs harsh reflections without making the space feel dead.
Natural materials throughout
Irish Douglas Fir, sheep’s wool, breathable canvas coverings. No plastics, no MDF, no off-gassing — important when you and your clients spend extended time in the space.
Separated from the house
A garden yurt gives you and your clients a clear arrival ritual — leave the house, cross the garden, enter the space. That separation is part of why the work lands.
Treatment yurt sizes
Smaller is usually better for one-to-one work. Most practitioners go 4m or 5m.
4 metre
One practitioner, one client.
Treatment table, chair, small altar and storage. Intimate, contained, perfect for one-to-one bodywork, counselling and breathwork.
5 metre — most popular
One-to-one + small groups.
Room for treatment table, comfortable seating circle for 6-8, and a small altar setup. Best for practitioners who run both private sessions and small group offerings.
6 metre
Small groups + workshops.
Comfortable circle of 12-14, plus space for mats, instruments and a treatment area. Used by facilitators running regular small-medium group work.
Inside our treatment yurts
Common questions
Can I use it as my primary clinic space?
Yes — many of our practitioners use a 4m or 5m yurt as their only clinical space. Insurance and registration depend on your professional body.
Is it warm enough through winter sessions?
Yes. Our standard build with sheep’s wool insulation and a small wood-burning stove holds 19–22°C comfortably through Irish winters. Many practitioners light a small stove fire half an hour before the first client arrives. Some prefer the convenience of electric heaters which work well for our smaller yurts most of the year round.
Can I run music, lighting and small electrics?
Yes — we leave a clean entry for an armoured electrical feed. Most treatment yurts run a single 16A circuit for lights, a small speaker setup, a kettle and a heater.
What does it cost?
A 5m treatment yurt with full insulation, double glazed window, solid timber door and platform typically lands in the €13,000–€17,000 range. Use the quote builder for a transparent breakdown.
